Community Guidelines

At Tokn.money, we are committed to fostering a respectful, transparent, and secure environment for all users—whether you are tipping, receiving tips, or enabling tipping at your establishment. These Guidelines outline the standards of conduct expected from everyone using our platform.

By accessing or using the Tokn.money Platform, you agree to comply with these Guidelines, designed to promote trust, protect users, and ensure a positive experience for all. These Guidelines are to be read along with the Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy. In case of any conflict, Tokn.money’s policies shall prevail.

1. Who Is Part of the Tokn.money Community

The Tokn.money community includes all individuals and organizations who interact with or benefit from the Platform. Key participants include:

  • Tippers: Individuals or entities who voluntarily send monetary tips.
  • Tippies: Service professionals or businesses who receive tips.
  • Merchants: Businesses that facilitate tipping or distribute tips among staff (Active or Passive Merchants).

All users are expected to act with honesty, respect, and compliance with applicable laws. These Guidelines apply to users located in India; local adaptations may apply elsewhere.

2. Respectful Interactions

  • Engage courteously and respectfully with all users.
  • Harassment, threats, intimidation, discrimination, or offensive language will not be tolerated.
  • Do not pressure others into giving or refusing tips, nor manipulate feedback or ratings.
  • Do not record or share tipping interactions without the explicit consent of all parties, except when submitting screenshots to Tokn.money support.

3. Voluntary Act

Tipping is a voluntary and discretionary act of appreciation. Tokn.money maintains tipping as optional and based solely on user discretion.

  • Tips must be voluntary and not mandatory.
  • Merchants and Tippies must not misrepresent tipping as compulsory or part of billing.
  • Tips are tokens of appreciation for service quality, not guaranteed income.
  • Merchants must clearly label any suggested amounts as “optional.”

4. Authentic Identity and Use

  • Provide accurate and verifiable information during registration.
  • Do not impersonate others or operate multiple accounts.
  • Do not falsify or manipulate tipping transactions or feedback.
  • Automation tools, bots, or scripts to simulate tipping activity are strictly prohibited.

5. Rewards and Incentives

  • Rewards may be granted for engagement, service quality, or milestones, as determined solely by Tokn.money.
  • Rewards are promotional in nature, non-transferable, and not redeemable for cash.
  • Fraudulent or manipulated reward activity will result in forfeiture or suspension.
  • Tokn.money reserves the right to modify or discontinue rewards programs without notice.
  • Users are responsible for reporting applicable taxes on received rewards.

6. Merchant Terms of Use

  • Only legally registered businesses within India may participate as Merchants.
  • Merchants must display valid Tokn.money QR codes and use them solely for tipping.
  • Merchants may not use tips as wage substitutes and must comply with labour and tax laws.
  • Misuse of QR codes or brand materials is strictly prohibited and may result in termination.
  • Tokn.money may audit merchant compliance and tip disbursal records.

7. Fair Feedback Practices

  • Feedback must be honest, constructive, and respectful.
  • Tippers must not use feedback as leverage for concessions, and Tippies must not solicit favorable feedback.
  • Coordinated fake reviews or feedback manipulation is prohibited.
  • Tokn.money reserves the right to moderate or remove inappropriate feedback.

8. Prohibited Conduct

  • Do not engage in unlawful or fraudulent activities.
  • Do not access other users’ accounts or data without authorization.
  • Do not post misleading or defamatory content through reviews or messages.
  • Do not exploit or tamper with Tokn.money’s systems or incentives.

9. Privacy and Confidentiality

  • Users must not collect, share, or misuse personal information obtained via the Platform.
  • Merchants cannot use customer data for marketing or third-party activities without consent.
  • Unauthorised use of personal data may result in suspension or legal action.

10. Intellectual Property and Branding

  • Do not misuse, modify, or reproduce Tokn.money trademarks or brand assets without written consent.
  • Merchants and Tippies may only use authorised assets (e.g., QR codes, signage) as approved by Tokn.money.
  • Resale, redistribution, or repackaging of Tokn.money assets is strictly prohibited.

11. Enforcement and Reporting Mechanism

Tokn.money maintains a zero-tolerance policy for misconduct. Users can report violations or abuse via the in-app reporting feature or by contacting [insert support email]. Reports are handled confidentially and reviewed by the compliance team.

12. Violations and Consequences

  • Violations may lead to suspension, termination, or legal action.
  • False or malicious reports may themselves be treated as violations.
  • Users may appeal enforcement actions within 15 days of notification.

13. Updates

Tokn.money may periodically update these Guidelines. Continued use of the Platform after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised version. Users are encouraged to review them regularly.

14. Age Restrictions and Eligibility

Tokn.money is intended for individuals who have attained the legal age of majority under Indian law. Minors may use the Platform only under parental supervision and consent.

15. Emergency Suspension / Downtime

Tokn.money may temporarily suspend features or access during upgrades, maintenance, or regulatory events. Users will be notified in case of extended outages.
